I provide a wide range of psychological assessments. Many of my clients are students who are experiencing difficulty reading or learning, show signs of an attention or behavior problem, or seem to not be working up to their potential for unknown reasons.

How It Works:

Depending on the referral question and the age of the individual, an assessment typically takes two sessions (each about three hours). During these sessions, I administer various standardized, normed tests as well as questionnaires and an interview. An important part of most evaluations includes information and reports by third parties who know the student well, such as teachers, parents, and other family members. I interview these individuals and/or obtain questionnaires completed by them.

I provide feedback to the student or family in a third session that generally lasts 30 to 40 minutes. This typically takes place two or three weeks after the second assessment session. During the feedback session, I review all findings and recommendations with the client and provide a comprehensive report that can be submitted to a school, physician, or relevant agency. If requested by the client, I may attend a parent-teacher conference to review my findings and recommendations with school officials.
