1 – Do I need special hardware or software to view the videos online?
You do NOT need special hardware or software to view our online videos. You can view Psyc.TV videos from any computer that has high-speed internet access (e.g., cable modem or DSL). However, this service is not recommended for dial-up connections. If the speed of your internet connection is in between that of a dial-up connection and broadband (e.g., “DSL Lite”), test the connection by playing a couple of free trailers. If the trailers play without any problem, you shouldn't have any trouble playing the actual videos.
2 – How do I purchase a video for online viewing?
Click ‘Buy This Video’ for the video you want to see. You can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) on our secure server. We use professional-grade encryption and firewalls to ensure your protection during all transactions. Once you pay, you will have one month of access to the 'Product Page’ for your video. This page displays buttons to play the chapters of the video you purchased as well as buttons that enable you to download or print the accompanying handout materials (e.g., slides in the video) and take the multiple-choice test that is required if you wish to receive CE credit.
After you purchase a video, the title of the video will appear in ‘Your Account’. (‘Your Account’ is on the ‘Customer Service’ menu which appears near the top of the screen.) You will see the title printed in brownish-orange type midway down the page in the section entitled 'Order/Billing History.' Simply click the title to go to the ‘Product Page’ for the video. During your period of access, you may watch your video from any computer that has a high-speed internet connection. To do so, log into ‘Your Account’ using your email and password and proceed as just described.
3 – How do I play an online video and how can I navigate within it?
Navigate to the 'Product Page' for your video, as explained immediately above. Then click the 'Play' button for a chapter, and it will begin momentarily. Notice that the video player has a button to Pause your video or to Play it. Of course, you can use these to pause and resume play of your video. Even better, if you want to replay what you just watched, review something much earlier in the chapter, or jump ahead in the video you can drag the slider beneath the video to any point in the video and it will automatically begin playing from that point.
The chapter you are currently viewing is always highlighted (light gray) in the list of chapters on the ‘Product Page’. If you are watching a long video with a number of chapters, this will help you keep your place. To play the next chapter, look for the highlighted chapter and click ‘Play’ for the chapter immediately below it.
4 – How do I print the slides?
Near the top of the ‘Product Page’ for your video, click the brownish-orange filename under ‘Download and print your handout/s’. When the file opens, you can save and/or print the handout. You will need Adobe Reader (free) to open and print the document. You probably already have Adobe Reader on your computer – if the document opens when you click it, you have Adobe Reader. If the document does not open, click the link below and follow the simple instructions to download Adobe Reader. It’s free.

5 – How do I obtain Continuing Education Credit?
Psyc.TV (owned by Episteme Ventures, Inc.) is approved to sponsor continuing education by the professional organizations listed below*. To obtain CE credit, you will need to take and pass (i.e., 75% correct) the multiple-choice test associated with your video. To access the test, click the test link that appears near the top of the ‘Product Page’. After you have passed the test, click the button entitled 'Take the Required Evaluation' which will appear on the ‘Product Page’ after you take the test. This will bring up an evaluation form that is just like the ones you complete at live seminars. Once you complete this evaluation, a link to 'Print Certificate' will appear on the 'Product Page.' Click this link and your CE certificate will appear. You may download and/or print it.
Note that the number of online CE hours professionals are allowed to count toward re-licensure varies by state as well as profession. See below for links to sources that may provide more information about the rules that apply to you.

6 – If I purchase a DVD, how will I access the handout/s and take the test?
If you purchase a DVD, you will have access to the 'Product Page' for your video. This is the page that allows you to print the handout/s and take the multiple-choice test (required if you wish to receive CE credit). This is also the page where individuals who purchase the online version of the video come to watch their actual video. If you purchase a DVD, you will not be watching your video online, so the video files will not appear on your Product Page. Thus, you can ignore the bottom two paragraphs which instruct online viewers how to watch their video.
Before you watch your DVD, you may wish to visit the Product Page and print a copy of the handout/s and multiple-choice test. (Some people like to identify the correct answers as they watch the video.) To print these documents, simply click the relevant icons (e.g., 'Test') and print them as you would any other documents. After you have viewed your DVD, return to the Product Page, click the 'Test' icon again, and fill in your answers by clicking the bubble next to the correct answer for each question. You will receive your score immediately. If you pass (75+% correct), an 'Evaluation' icon will appear on the Product Page. Click this icon to take the multiple-choice evaluation; it's very similar to the evaluations you complete at live seminars. Once you have completed the evaluation, you will see the words "Print the certificate" on the Product Page. Click these words and your CE certificate will appear. You may download and/or print your CE certificate.
To access the Product Page for your video, run your mouse over 'Customer Service' near the top of our web page. In the list that appears, click 'Your Account.' On the 'Your Account' page, scroll down to the section entitled 'Order/Billing History' and click the title of your video.
7 – What if I do not pass the test?
If you watch the video and pay attention, it is unlikely that you will not pass the test. Nevertheless, if you do not pass, simply review your materials (handouts and/or watch key segments of the video again) and re-take the test. You may do so at any time during your period of access. However, once your period of access expires, you will lose access to both the video and the test.
A score of 75% correct (or greater) is required to pass a test.
